BUPA International sought to bring their business functions into a new office to support their continuing evolution of working through change to workplace culture brought about by COVID-19 and technological advancement. The scheme brings together three different businesses under one roof whilst maintaining confidentiality and compliance requirements. The challenge of consideration of privacy, security and access to drug stores and other sensitive areas versus agile working and limited fixed work points was addressed through careful adjacency planning. The solution respects and recognises each business within a consistent pallet of finishes adjusted through colour only to signify each across two floors of the Quayside office building. Employee well being as a key driver inspired the design concept of tea. A cultural and social link between China and the UK bringing together all aspects of the business, it is represented in the design through the warm and natural colour palette, textures, graphics and biophilic design.
