The Plaza Premium Lounge within Edinburgh Airport sees a refurbishment of the former No.1 Lounge. It has been designed in such a way as to meet a variety of needs of visiting passengers. The impressive 760sqm lounge offers members a spot of luxury before they jet off to their chosen destination. The main bar is the focal point of the lounge, sponsored by Edinburgh Gin, it is a vibrant hub of activity. A lower level lounge area is a more relaxed setting with lounge chairs, taking advantage of the best views of the runway. The lounge also benefits from two new spaces, a separate executive / VIP lounge, where passengers can enjoy a fireside setting, adding warmth and comfort to their experience in a quieter environment, and a new Interactive Area, a space suitable for all ages, with activities and games to keep passengers occupied during their wait for flights. Subtle Scottish elements are woven into the interior design, from tartan upholstery to dining chairs, alongside local images such as those from the world famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival were selected as artwork giving the lounge a sense of place.
